As the Creative Director, Gary's passion is to give a fresh and modern look to the way people view the mission of NAHCA. Throughout his career, he's received both National and Regional Awards for his productions.
He began his video career at KSNF-TV in Joplin, MO, as videographer in the news and sports departments (1984-1993). While there, he also worked in master control as an audio engineer for the 6pm and 10pm news.
In 1989, Gary along with his brother Terry, started Ohmart Video Creations. After 25 years, the business remains strong, while serving its regional customers.
He left capturing news and sports in 1993 to change his focus by moving on to a local advertising agency (1993-2005). While there, he worked twelve years as Video Director, Photographer, and Webmaster. During that time, he produced both local and regional clients' projects that sent him coast to coast.
In 2010, Gary began producing PepTalks for NAHCA. As the business relationship developed, he gladly accepted his current position as Creative Director. One of his highlights while working with NAHCA was an Advocacy trip to Washington DC in June, 2011. While in DC, he saw first-hand the importance of a CNA, and how they can speak out for the heart of each person they care for in long term care.
